First Look: CAO Brazilia
C.A.O. International, Inc., the creators of the widely popular C.A.O.
L'Anniversaire Cigar Series, unveiled the new C.A.O. Brazilia Cigar
Line at the 69th annual Retail Tobacco Dealers of America convention in Tampa in August.
"We have spent the last year and a half developing the C.A.O. Brazilia line," said C.A.O.
Vice President, Tim Ozgener. "C.A.O. has always been interested in the rich and flavorful
wrapper leaf that is grown in Brazil, however, we were waiting in the wings until we found
just the right crop of Brazilian leaf that would compliment the Nicaraguan binder and filler
that have proven so successful in our L'Anniversaire blends. We sampled over 50 different blends
to arrive at the final Brazilia blend. The C.A.O. Brazilia bands and boxes are being produced by
the same company that manufactures packaging for such companies as Godiva and Tattinger; our goal
was to make the packaging as festive and vibrant as the country of Brazil is reputed to be."
The C.A.O. Brazilia will be available in three sizes: "Gol!" (5 x 56), "Amazon" (6 x 60),
and "Samba" (6 ¼" x 54). C.A.O. will begin shipping the new Brazilia line in September 2001.
