First Look: C.A.O. L'Anniversaire eXtreme Lancero
C.A.O. International, Inc., the creators of the widely popular C.A.O.
The C.A.O. L'Anniversaire eXtreme. one of the highest rated cigar brands in the history of Cigar Aficionado magazine,
will now he available in a shape that is steeped in the Cuban tradition of cigar-making. In March 2002.
C.A.O. will add the classic Lancero shape to its widely acclaimed eXtreme line of cigars.
Limited to a production of only 50,000 cigars, the C.A.O. eXtreme Lancero promises
to be one the most sought-after cigars of 2002. The history of the Lancero shape is
as rich in folklore and history as the eXtreme line is in flavor and intensity Created
in 1957 by the young Cuban cigar roller Eduardo Ribera. these special cigars were originally
created for his own personal consumption. Soon after the revolution, a friend of Fidel Castro's
introduced him to these small cigars that Ribera called "Lanceros." Thereafter the Lancero
became one of the original three sizes produced by the famed 'El Laguito' factory and of
course, Castro's preferred size to smoke.
Known for its exquisite appearance and 'pig-tail' the Lancero is recognized
as being one of the few gran panatelas that exhibits an excellent draw and maintains
a cool, slow burn. The C.A.O. eXtreme Lancero will be a true connoisseur's cigar a
tribute to the history of cigar artistry with rich, complex flavors of chocolate and spice.
C.A.O. L'Anniversaire eXtream 'Lancero' 6 ¾ x 40 (20 count box), will begin shipping in Spring 2002.
