Company to add Roller Cards providing details of cigar roller and date cigars were made.

Miami, March 20, 2002: Tabacalera Perdomo S.A., the manufacturer of ten of the top 25 rated premium cigars in the world, today announced that their RTDA 2002 release of the Perdomo Fresco® premium cigar brand will now include Fresco® Roller cards. Each Cuban wheel of Perdomo Fresco® will now contain a card of the person who crafted the cigars - which is similar in content and appearance to a sports trading card. The front of the Perdomo Fresco® Roller card contains an image and name of the cigar roller, and the back of the card reveals their vital statistics, a short biography and the "roll on" date the cigars were hand crafted. The company expects to begin distribution of the new Fresco® Roller card to retailers and fine tobacconists by the end of March.

"I wanted to create an entirely new dimension of intimacy between our cigar rollers and our customers," stated Nick Perdomo, Jr., president and chief executive of Tabacalera Perdomo, S.A. "How many cigar smokers know the name or background of the person who created their cigar? Or when it was made? I view our Fresco® line as a new way of breaking old barriers and establishing a deeper and more meaningful relationship with our customers."

Perdomo Fresco® is a "house blend" made popular at the Perdomo "El Monstro" factory in Esteli by a group of cigar rolling prodigies under the guidance and watchful eye of Nicholas Perdomo, Sr. This group of sensational artisans, known collectively as "Las Olas" ("The Waves") are the next generation of cigar makers that have risen to the top of their profession through their unrelenting passion and fierce pride to master the demanding art of crafting and blending the most ambitious cigar challenges. Their brilliant workmanship and virtuosity are proudly manifested in every Perdomo Fresco® cigar. Perdomo Fresco® is available in three classic sizes - Robusto (5 x 50), Churchill (7 x 50) and Torpedo (6 ½ x 54) and are packaged in a Cuban Wheel of 50 cigars.

Perdomo Fresco® traces its roots to the cigar maker's pioneering in-store promotion strategy of providing cigar buyers with "fresh rolled" cigars directly from the tabaqueros table when one or more of their nationally recognized brands were purchased. Developed to meet the increasingly discerning tastes of cigar enthusiasts, Perdomo Fresco® is a comprised of a complex, deeply fermented blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican Cuban seed tobaccos melodiously punctuated with a Jalapa-grown Corojo '99 wrapper from the tobacco plants fifth and sixth primings. The Nicaraguan Corojo '99 wrapper lends a rich, silky smooth quality to this flavorful, medium-bodied smoke.
